The daughter of Cuban refugees, Andrea’s story began in Little Havana in Miami, Florida. She was a first generation student, and queer woman, and before she even got her degree, she had survived a sexual assault. At 20 years old, with pages worth of college research, and a big dream of making campus sexual assault reach the national agenda, she used her story to fight back.
